FANTASY FOOTBALL WRAPUP: MONDAY GIANTS/VIKINGS

Fantasy Football Week 7 is now in the books as the Giants finally got their first win over the Minnesota Vikings Monday night.  Let's get in on the latest action coming out of that one.

-Listen we all know Eli Manning is not nearly as bad as he has been this season in already throwing 15 interceptions.  Still he has been pretty brutal to the point where you can't start him in almost all formats.  What is strange is that he has one of the best collection of receivers in football with Hakeem Nicks, Victor Cruz, and Reuben Randle.  Manning threw for 200 yards and a touchdown Monday night with no turnovers which was the key.  Keep an eye on him in two-QB formats as the offense support is top notch if Manning can stop giving the football away.

On the other side Josh Freeman continued to show he can be trusted in any format as he threw for only 190 yards with no touchdowns and one INT.  No sense talking about him anymore.

-Wow Adrian Peterson fantasy football owners didn't get that late boost in points they expected, especially going against the awful Giants defense.  Peterson ran for only 28 yards on 13 carries in a complete bust of a performance.  Nothing to say here as Peterson will be just fine but he is going to have to deal with a whole bunch of 8-man fronts the rest of the way.

Meanwhile Peyton Hillis actually scored a touchdown among his 36 rushing yards on 18 carries.  He was clearly rusty and anyone who started him should be thinking about fantasy baseball right about now.  Meanwhile Brandon Jacobs should be back for Week 8 off his hamstring issue.

-Finally it was once again Reuben Randle who hit paydirt, the fourth touchdown for him in the last three games.  I told you to pick up Randle weeks ago and this is why.  Guy reminds me of James Jones the way he always gets into the end zone.  Overall Randle caught 3 passes for 40 yards nad the touchdown.  Victor Cruz led the way for the Giants receivers with 5 catches for 50 yards as he continues to produce throughout this Giant mess.  Hakeem Nicks though grabbed only 2 passes for 28 yards as it looks like he has mentally checked out.  He has got to know by now the Giants have no interest in re-signing him and have even listened to trade offers.  It may not end pretty.

There you have it.  Let us hear your thoughts.
